Knowing Head & Neck Cancer
Head and neck cancer has become disturbingly common. About one in seven smokers will develop cancer of the voice box, throat, lung or esophagus. If you smoke or use smokeless tobacco, we hope this section of our website will alert you to the warning signs of head and neck cancer. If identified early, many of these cancers can be treated with a minimum of surgery or with radiation alone, but if left untreated, they are unforgiving.

Consider The Damage That Can Be Caused By a Small, Neglected Cancer:
• It can expand rapidly, often necessitating advanced surgical procedures.
• It can result in a lesion that quickly spreads to the base of the skull and downward toward the nerves controlling the voice box.
• It can grow into the large arteries and nerves, with dire consequences.
• It can spread to the lymph nodes, decreasing the chances of survival.
